A car hit a woman and two children in Čáslavice on Třebíčska on Thursday afternoon. The woman did not survive the collision. One of the children was seriously injured, the other was slightly injured. The victims of the accident were related, the adult woman was the grandmother of the accompanying children.
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. This was said by Petr Janáček, the spokesman for the Vysočina Regional Health and Rescue Service, and Michaela Lébrová, the police spokesperson.

The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident in which the car drove off the road and hit a pedestrian. According to Lébrová, the driver’s breath test was negative. “One person died, resuscitation failed to save her. The second person with severe injuries was airlifted to Brno and the third person with light injuries was also flown to Brno,” said Janáček.
The victim of the accident and the two children were related. “She was a grandmother with two little granddaughters. I knew her personally,” he told pro iDnes.cz the mayor of Čáslavice, Pavel Vařbuchta.
