The left intervenes

— I confirm that the parliamentary motion has been received. Inspection activities will begin in the coming days. We will check whether there have been any violations of labor law regulations, Anna Majerek, spokeswoman for the Krakow National Labor Inspectorate, tells Onet.

According to Polish law, an employer dismissing more than 30 employees within a period of 30 days is obliged to carry out a strictly regulated group dismissal procedure. A company wishing to carry out group layoffs is also obliged to notify the district labor office in advance. We contacted the Krakow employment office regarding this matter. However, its representative did not want to provide us with information whether such a notification had been received from Aptiv, saying that it could violate trade secrets.
