A Nintendo Switch emulator is launching today, Nintendo may be nervous again

This emulator will also try an experimental Mac version in order to further annoy Nintendo, which seems to ignore that not all emulations are considered harmful (especially if certain games are no longer legally available, and this is the big N would know what to tell).

On the official Discord server of the Suyu emulator, the developers announced that the first binary release will be today, March 20. There will be Linux x86_64, Windows x86_64, Android ARMv8a, and even an experimental macOS build even though the project only started two weeks ago. It was then heard that the developers of the Yuzu emulator had settled out of court with Nintendo, and as a result, the development of one of the prominent emulators for the Nintendo Switch was stopped.

During the two weeks, no significant development has probably taken place, because during this time you can only start from the source code of Yuzu (as Suyu is its fork, or development branch), but you have to start the emulator somewhere, and later there will definitely be innovations and functions that they were left out of Yuzu and will be there in Suyu, which is pronounced funny in English. (The term Suyu is certainly used by Nintendo, because they probably want to sue these developers as well, i.e. I will sue you…)

The team behind Tropic Haze, Yuzu, which emulates Nintendo Switch games, and Citra, which previously ran Nintendo 3DS titles, is paying the Japanese console company $2.4 million, and it turns out that Yuzu also collected a lot of user data, and who knows what the big What will N end up doing with these things, because according to the company, the emulator was mainly used to run pirated games. (Anyone who buys a game and then downloads it to emulate it may be a pirated game, but it would qualify as a backup, since the game was purchased!)

So the Suyu emulator is launching today, and who knows how long Nintendo’s lawyers will jump on it.
