We decided to make an additional transaction and thus exceed the 5% threshold. in the shareholding, due to the attractive development prospects of Asbis. We appreciate the history of dividend payments, which also had a significant impact on our decision. We treat our involvement in the company as a long-term capital investment, said Zbigniew Juroszek, quoted in the press release.

They grew up on trade with Russia

Asbis is a company that was founded on the distribution of computer equipment to Russia and Belarus. Lately liquidated its Russian company in connection with Russian aggression against Ukraine, but its financial statements still show settlements in Belarusian and Russian rubles, and more than half of its sales are directed to the countries of the “former Soviet Union”. However, most sales outside the dollar and euro were settled in the Kazakh tenge currency – over 20%. in 2023. Significant sales were also directed to Saudi Arabia – almost 10%.

Zbigniew Juroszek is the founder and main shareholder of the company, which has been operating since 1990. Atal Group, which last year sold slightly fewer apartments than Murapol, second on the market. Until 2023, he was also a co-owner of the STS bookmaker, and currently, through his family foundation, he is a 10% shareholder in Entain CEE, which includes the STS Group, but also bookmaker companies from other countries.

Zbigniew Juroszek – through subsidiaries – is a shareholder in listed companies, among others: Gaming Innovation Group, Better Collective, Instal Kraków, Unimot, Decora, Quercus TFI and Skarbiec Holding.
