In the announcement made by the Governorship, “The General Elections of Local Administrations held in Pınarbaşı district of our province on 31 March 2024 were canceled by the Supreme Electoral Board and it was decided to renew them on 02 June 2024. Pınarbaşı Municipality will be held until 02 June 2024, the date on which the elections will be renewed, with the approval of the Kayseri Governorship. “Deputy Governor Ömer Tekeş has been appointed,” it was said.

OBJECTION WAS REJECTED

CHP’s objection to the decision to repeat the Local Government General Elections in Kayseri’s Pınarbaşı district was rejected by the Provincial Election Board.

According to the inconclusive results of the March 31 Local Government General Elections, CHP’s candidate Deniz Yağan received 5 thousand 82 votes in the district, and MHP’s candidate Menduh Uzunluoğlu received 4 thousand 758 votes. CHP’s Yağan had 33.30 percent of the votes, and MHP’s Uzunluoğlu had 31.18 percent.

On April 3, the District Election Board decided to cancel the Pınarbaşı Mayor and District Municipal Council Membership elections due to the delivery of unsealed bags, and to renew the election on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
