An actress who was playing on the stage of the German Theater in Timisoara, on Sunday evening, was transported to the hospital after a wooden set fell on her. Two other men supporting the set were injured, but they were not transported to the hospital, reports News.ro. The police opened a criminal case.

According to Opinia Timișoara, there was a performance of the play “The Cherry Orchard” by Anton Chekhov, when, at one point, a piece of the set came off and hit the actress Olga Torok, who played the governess Sarlotta, in the head Ivanovna.
“On 04.02.2024, at around 8:12 p.m., the policemen of Section 1 Timişoara were alerted to the fact that, on Mărăşeşti street in Timișoara, at the German Theatre, a person was injured”, IPJ Timiş reported .
The police arrived at the scene and found that during a show, a wooden panel used as a set and secured by two men fell and injured a 38-year-old woman, who was transported to the hospital for treatment specialized care.
The two men supporting the panel were also injured, but they did not require transport to the hospital.
“The police have drawn up a criminal file under the aspect of committing the crime of non-compliance with safety and health measures at work, carrying out investigations to establish all the circumstances of the occurrence of this incident”, IPJ Timiş reported.
On the stage of the German Theater in Timişoara, the show Cherry Orchard by Anton Chehov was playing.
