Comedian Adam Carolla has identified COVID-19 protocols, climate change, and the prevalence of white supremacy as the three biggest hoaxes of our time.
Carolla, alongside co-host Dr. Drew Pinsky, claimed that the “silencing of discourse” serves as a primary indicator of a hoax. The duo discussed how dissenters regarding pandemic lockdowns and climate science have faced social media shadow-banning or been labeled “deniers,” a term Carolla and Pinsky suggest is intended to squash legitimate debate.
Carolla specifically questioned the classification of white supremacy as the nation’s most pressing threat, citing a lack of visible evidence during his travels across the United States.
Carolla Challenges White Supremacy Narratives and FBI Claims
Adam Carolla criticized the Biden administration’s focus on white supremacy, stating that President Joe Biden ran on a platform centered on the issue. Carolla specifically targeted the FBI, questioning why the director would identify white supremacy as the biggest problem facing the country when Carolla claims he has not encountered Klan rallies or similar activities while performing comedy in various states, including Wisconsin.

To support his position, Carolla referenced online data regarding the victims of violent crime, suggesting that the numbers of Black women killed by Black men outweigh those killed by white supremacists.
The discussion touched upon the group Patriot Front as a contemporary example of a hate group. While the group conducted a masked march in Washington, D.C., on July 4, Carolla and Pinsky pointed to leaked chat logs as evidence of the group’s instability. According to these reports, a leader identified as Rousseau stated in a December 14, 2021, communication that the group was “absolutely desperate for new people” and had been stuck in a membership rut of 220 to 230 people for nearly a year.
Critique of Climate Change and Pandemic Protocols
Dr. Drew Pinsky contributed to the analysis by questioning the urgency of climate change warnings. Pinsky referenced a United Nations report from 1989 that predicted entire nations would be swept away by rising sea levels, suggesting that the failure of such long-term predictions undermines current alarmism.
Pinsky argued that while the climate may be changing, the insistence that humans are the sole cause is often presented without room for nuance. He described the “overriding evil” as the inability to discuss these topics without facing professional or social consequences.
Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, Carolla claimed he knew the protocols were flawed by observing his own neighborhood. He stated that he did not see young teenagers dying from the virus, leading him to conclude that the risks to young people were exaggerated by government bodies and legacy media. This led Carolla to describe Dr. Anthony Fauci as “compromised” during the height of the pandemic.
The Impact of Silenced Discourse on Public Debate
A central theme of the podcast was the psychological and social effect of labeling skeptics as “deniers.” Pinsky noted that when a topic is deemed off-limits or when people are harmed for discussing it, it typically indicates a lack of conviction in the underlying story. This environment, they argue, prevents a “sane, sober conversation” about race and science.

They noted that those who questioned lockdown measures were frequently silenced on social platforms, a subject recently explored in a documentary by the Wall Street Journal Opinion section titled “The Lockdown Dissidents.”
Carolla concluded that trusting one’s own eyes over “liars” in the media is the only way to navigate these societal shifts. He contrasted the lack of visible Klan rallies with the prevalence of “smash and grab” robberies and street takeovers seen on mobile phones, arguing that the latter represents the actual current crisis.
