Every single member of the development studio was fired, according to the founders’ plans, the team will be rebuilt “brick by brick”. The current line-up was simply not sustainable.

Downsizing is not a rare thing these days, it is not even certain that we would get our heads around it, but the developer of Deliver Us the Moon and Deliver Us Mars, KeokeN Interactive, decided to make a very difficult decision. They were not crushed by dismissal rates of 5-10%, practically everyone was sent away.

Of course, it was a small team in the first place, which even in its heyday had 45 people. According to the founders, the studio’s current publishing and development possibilities, as well as the contract workforce, have been completely exhausted. They plan to rebuild the studio, but when that will happen remains to be seen, as does how it will affect projects like Deliver Us the Moon’s Switch port.

Deliver Us the Moon was released in 2018, and received a very positive reception for its captivating story, its introspective puzzle solving and, of course, its zero-gravity navigation. The sequel, Deliver Us Mars, was released in 2023, and although it continued the story of its predecessor, the TPS view and the puzzle-platformer puzzles based on it were much more emphasized.
