While vacationing with her family in Houston, USA, in one of the hotels of the popular Hilton chain, 8-year-old Alia Yaiko drowned in the pool. The girl was sucked into a 6 meter long tube. He was searched for 13 hours, writes the Mirror.
During the inspection, it was found that the pool pumps were not working properly: one should push the water out and the other should suck it in. The pipe from which the water was supposed to flow simply pulled the fragile girl in.
Other violations in the operation of the pool were also discovered, and irreparable damage to the pipe was found.
In order to find the child, it was necessary to pour out almost all the water, and only then could you look into the pipes. “A full audit was conducted and numerous violations were found. There is video footage, but the hotel manager said the footage is being reviewed by lawyers and we will have to wait until we get a copy,” the Houston Health Department said.
The search lasted 13 hours, during which employees refused to inspect the pipes in question. Later, after watching video footage from surveillance cameras, it became clear that the child did not leave the pool while swimming.
