A lot of smaller, interesting titles are created in Czech studies. They are now joined by Bellfortis, which is being worked on by the development team Rake in Grass, which is one of the longest-serving on the domestic independent scene. You may know from them the action Jets’n’Guns or the logical platformer Archibald’s Adventures. With its new product, it is heading into the strategy genre, and we will be able to try it out in the third quarter of this yearWhen has on Steam come out in early access.

We will look at Europe in the times when the first kingdoms were just forming on its territory, during which the local inhabitants had to deal with the raids of the eastern and northern tribes. The task is to create a strong and prosperous empire. There are several ways to achieve your goals. A large army is a certainty, but sometimes a little diplomacy comes in handy.

Bellfortis divides the gameplay into two parts. During empire management and diplomacy, everything takes place in a turn-based strategy style, while when it comes to conflict, battles take place in real time. Authors with this style are inspired by classics such as Total War: Medieval II, Crusader Kings III or Centurion, which they readily admit when announcing. Compared to them, however, it has a faster and more intense experience with the fact that the fights will be more arcade-like.
