André Hazes is in contact with his sister Roxeanne again. The singer says this in an interview with RTL Boulevard. “The moment I saw her again, I thought: Jesus, it’s my sister. I love her very much.”
The brother and sister have had a difficult relationship for years. They have now been reunited again. “We are taking it very slowly. We don’t have coffee together every day. The contact is very good,” says André, who explains that he was the one who took the first step. “And the second too, and the third and fourth. She was very reserved. Persevere. I did it.”
The 30-year-old singer, who now lives in Wilnis, says that he and Roxeanne have never been abusive towards each other. “I think it was very good to distance ourselves from each other so as not to let things get worse. That is why we can now interact with each other in this way.”

André continues: “I am really very happy to speak to my sister again. That I see her son. The first time I saw that little boy again: that’s magical, man. Real. I’m afraid that any additional decision we make can only ruin that.”

The news that the two are seeing each other again does not come as a complete surprise. André was spotted earlier this month at a performance by his sister at the Paard in The Hague.
‘I don’t give a shit’
In the interview with Boulevard, the singer also spoke about the legal matter between Roxeanne and mother Rachel. That case concerns, among other things, whether Rachel can continue to call herself heir of André Hazes senior. The youngest member of the Hazes family does not care what happens to his father’s inheritance.
“Maybe that’s the strange thing, but nothing surprises me anymore. I’ve never really worried about an inheritance or anything, and that’s what I once meant to say, why I didn’t get involved. One thing is important to me: that the name Hazes is handled well.” With ‘that shitty money’, according to André, they can ‘do whatever they want’. “I honestly don’t care.”
