The lie of Iranian state television was exposed on the X social network by the Israeli government. Her post included footage of the Iranian report along with an original report from Chile about the February fires. These claimed 131 lives in the South American country, while the Iranian attack caused no damage or loss of life.

Similar tactics are used by disinformers on social networks. The diary writes about perhaps the most bizarre mix-up of shots Bild. This was done by far-right American influencer Jackson Hinkle, who shared a video of alleged “mass panic” in Israel with his more than a million followers. However, it was subsequently revealed to be a week-old footage of former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson’s Argentinian fans outside his hotel in Buenos Aires.
This video, posted by Jackson Hinkle and others and viewed nearly 5 million times, claims to show “Israelis panicking” as Iran’s missiles and drones reach Israel.

In total, Iran and its allies in Iraq and Yemen fired over 300 missiles at Israel over the weekend, including 170 kamikaze drones, 30 cruise missiles and 110 ballistic missiles. Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari subsequently confirmed that 99% of them had been shot down with the help of the US, France and Jordan.
Hagari described it as a “very significant strategic achievement” while denying that it was just a planned show of force on Iran’s part that was intended to do no real damage. “I think Iran wanted to get results, but it didn’t,” he said.
