According to an insider, remakes of Persona 1 and Persona 2 could be in the works at ATLUS.
The remake was developed shortly after its release at the beginning of the year Persona 3: Reload becomes a big seller for publishers ATLUS.
Within the first week it broke the one million mark and became the fastest-selling game in the publisher’s history.
This makes it all the more likely that the Japanese studio is planning further new editions of the role-playing game series. At least that’s what the well-connected insider Midori claimed via X. Accordingly, ATLUS should participate in possible Remakes of Persona 1 and Persona 2 work.
In a later post he stated that, as a precaution, one should speak of revised versions. The insider cannot currently say for sure whether this is a complete remake or a remaster.
Midori has made correct predictions about the ATLUS portfolio several times in the past. Among other things, he recently claimed that Persona 6 for release will also be released for Xbox consoles. After the franchise was originally released exclusively on the PlayStation platforms, the Japanese publisher has removed console exclusivity with Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal.
Persona 3: Reload was released on February 1, 2024 for PlayStation4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game is also on Xbox Game Pass available.
