Ayhan Bora Kaplan was asked about the photo with a gun in front of TRT: “I cannot give the answer here”

At yesterday’s hearing of the case, defendants Ali Dönmez, Barış Kurt, Ali Şallı, Arif Buğra Meşen, Cemil Kumaşcıoğlu, Emir Akyol, Ersoy Yahya and Ferit Çelik also requested acquittal, arguing that they were not members of the criminal organization and were innocent.

The defendant Ayhan Bora Kaplan, who attended yesterday’s hearing of the trial but did not make a defense, started to make his defense at today’s hearing.

“TORTURE IN CUSTODY” CLAIM

Kaplan started his defense at today’s hearing by saying, “I do not accept any accusations.” Defendant Kaplan said, “I was told that I was caught while running away. Does a person who is going to escape buy a scheduled flight ticket two days in advance, is he an idiot? Will the man who is going to escape go with his own passport and his own car? said. Claiming that the fact that he was laid on the ground during his detention was purely for show, Kaplan claimed that the police tortured him during the detention process and said, “The police coming and going said, ‘Is that you, Bora Kaplan?’ “He kicked me,” he claimed.

“THEY EXPECT ME TO ACCUSE PUBLIC OFFICIALS”

The President of the Court asked, “Where did you find the long-barreled weapons when you went to TRT?” Kaplan said, “They expect me to blame public officials. I cannot answer this question here. Special I can tell you. Because what I say here immediately hits the internet. “You need to take precautions for this,” he replied.

“THERE IS A DISEASE IN HIS MOUTH” CLAIM

Claiming that he did not use violence by detaining Erkan Doğan for two days, Kaplan said, “There is no such thing as torturing this man for days. Even if a doctor pulls out his teeth, the man will die from blood loss. If he was tortured that much, how did he escape by hanging from the rope? The man already had the disease. He had a disease that caused his teeth to fall out when he was slapped. He exaggerated so much so that we would receive more punishment that his statement lost its credibility. “I never accept these accusations,” he said.

“I DO NOT RECOGNIZE MAHFUZ TATAR”

Then, making his defense regarding the murder of Mahfuz Tatar, Kaplan said, “I don’t know him, I am in shock. This incident took place on September 29, the second day of the opening of Tren, the entertainment venue for which I spent so much effort and expense. One day after the opening, I said I would not come because I was tired. The day of the concert, I went home, went to bed and rested. I am not aware that Mahfuz Tatar has arrived. I am not a greeter at the door so that I can see everyone who comes. It’s dim inside and I can’t see outside. “They came after visiting 2-3 places, Mahfuz Tatars were already drunk when they arrived,” he said.

“I USUALLY LEAVE MY PHONE TO UMUT ÇABUK”

Stating that he usually leaves his phone to a person named Umut Çabuk, Kaplan said, “My phone on important days. You will see that I gave up my phone along with Umut Çabuk before the murder. People are constantly calling me to show off to the public, saying ‘wait, I know the owner of that place’. On the other hand, I was looking for a seat for my wife and friend at important parts of the concert, and sometimes conflicts would arise because of this. “That’s why I left my phone to Umut Çabuk,” he said.

“I WAS NOT THERE THE NIGHT MAHFUZ WAS KILLED”

“I was not there the night Mahfuz was killed,” said Kaplan, “But is there a witness who said he saw him there?” “I will talk about that too,” he said to the Presiding Judge who asked the question. “Why didn’t you ever say before that Umut Çabuk had your phone?” “Why should I tell you, sir? If I had said so, many things would have been said about Umut Çabuk. “They want to blame me for the incident that occurred due to swearing,” he said.
