This special broadcast was unveiled on the sidelines of the 1st Forum of Arab Postal Leaders, organized in Muscat by the Universal Postal Union, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Tarik El Hsissen, the Director General of the Barid Al-Maghrib Group, Mr. Amin Benjelloun Touimi, and the Executive Director of Oman Post, Asyad Express, Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Sultan Al Hosani, as well as other representatives of Barid Al-Maghrib and Oman Post.

With its exceptional design, this special broadcast embodies the essential elements common to the Kingdom of Morocco and the Sultanate of Oman. The idea of ​​this show also revolves around highlighting the first place where the sun rises in the Arab world in the Sultanate of Oman and the last place where the sun sets in the Kingdom of Morocco. This special broadcast highlights the most important cultural monuments of the two countries. These include the main gate of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the historic Sohar Ship, the sunrise view at Ras Al Hadd, as well as the ancient Sohar Castle and the Royal Opera House in Muscat. On the Moroccan side, these two stamps include, in addition to the Al-Khair Mosque located in the locality of El Guergarate, which represents the last sunset viewpoint in Morocco, the exquisite architectural style, evident in the models of Moroccan doors, which indicate, in terms of construction method and engineering, the diversity of the civilizational tributaries of the Kingdom.

On this occasion, Mr. Amin Benjelloun Touimi, Managing Director of the Barid Al-Maghrib Group, declared that “beyond a simple postage stamp, this joint issue represents a bridge connecting two cultures with their historical values ​​and a vision community of the future.

For his part, Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Sultan Al Hosani, Executive Director of Oman Post and Asyad Express, said: “We are pleased to launch this joint commemorative stamp which embodies the deep bonds of mutual brotherhood between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Morocco and the similar and deep-rooted heritage between them.” He added that “The stamp, with its distinctive symbolism of unity of visions and mutual respect, thus opens new paths in our common path of progress.”

This special issue enriches the series of joint postage stamps issued by the Barid Al-Maghrib Group. To cite, for example, the joint emissions with Serbia in 2022, the Dominican Republic and Tunisia in 2021, the principality of Monaco in 2014, Qatar in 2013, etc.
