The Saudi Ministry of Tourism warns travelers not to be fooled by fake websites offering job vacancies in Saudi Arabia. Have to be more careful!

Reported Arab News, Friday (22/3/2024) there were many fake advertisements circulating in the name of the Saudi Ministry of Tourism on the internet. The ministry denied any link to these fake advertisements, adding that its official website and social media platforms were the only official means of advertising job vacancies.

In his statement, it was stated that several fake sites claiming to offer jobs in the tourism sector had been detected. The sites exploited the ministry’s name and logo to obtain personal and banking data through messages claiming to charge financial fees for health checks.

The ministry emphasized that dealing with the ministry’s official websites and platforms, it is ensured that applicants receive accurate and reliable information about the advertised jobs. It also definitely protects the confidentiality of the personal information provided.

The ministry called for immediately reporting any suspicious websites claiming to represent them or publishing job opportunities. One way is to contact the relevant authorities or connect with the ministry through official media platforms.

The Ministry stressed the importance of everyone protecting themselves from all types and methods of fraud, and ensuring the security of their banking and personal information.

They also appealed not to respond to messages received from parties acting on behalf of the ministry. Also verify the source of random messages received before clicking on links, to protect personal data and not become a victim of fraud.
