Beate has been feeling for a while that she has no feelings for either Paul or Rien. “I just miss a connection with both of them,” she tells Caitlin. “Paul may be my type on paper, but I don’t feel it chemistry. And with Rien I feel a little more that attraction, but on paper he is not my husband.”
During the rose ceremony, Beate nevertheless receives a rose from Rien. “I’m not sure if it’s going to be romantic, but I think you’re too cute and too unique to let go,” he says. But when she walks forward, she drops a bomb on him. “Thank you for your kind words, Rien. I just have to say something.” Rien subtly puts the rose back.
“Dear men, I had a great time with you and I think it was a wonderful adventure that I was able to embark on with you, but I also have to be honest. I have discovered that this is not the way for me to achieve true to find love,” Beate continues. The group of women behind her are in shock. “Oh my god, what an icon“, says Yvonne. “What a boss”, says the other women.
The men are happy that she is so honest. “Nice of you to say so,” Rien says. “It’s very good that you do it that way, respect,” says Paul. Beate thinks that the men will find their true self during the program. “I’m very confident,” she says as she walks away. “I’m going to miss her,” Rien admits when Beate is out of the picture.
Beate has not only chosen for himself, but also for the two gentlemen and the other ladies. “It’s the fairest thing to do. I think it’s a shame with such beautiful ladies if the focus isn’t on that. I didn’t want to waste the men’s time and certainly not my own time either. Sometimes you have to do what is difficult .”
