A reported billionaire has offered to pay for a Traitors star to take their family on a pilgrimage after the finalist narrowly missed out on taking home £95,000

Reported billionaire Umar Kamani has offered to fund a Traitors finalist’s family pilgrimage after the star failed to win the show. Faraaz Noor said that if he won The Traitors, he would take his family on a pilgrimage to Mecca.

Faraaz, 22, reached the final of the hit BBC show but didn’t win, as he tragically trusted the wrong person. Putting all his eggs in Rachel Duffy‘s basket, he agreed to vote for the traitor’s co-conspirator Stephen Libby, but was instead voted out by both Rachel and Stephen.

But before he left, without any of the £95,000 jackpot, Faraaz told viewers what he would do with the money if he won. He said: “For me, being Muslim, Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam. Completing that pilgrimage in Saudi, going to Mecca. If I was to win the money, I’d love to be able to treat the family and all of us go as one.”

Hajj is an annual pilgrimage taken to the sacred city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, during the final month of the Islamic year, which is during May in 2026. Every adult Muslim must make the trip at least once in their life.

Faraaz explained that he wanted to “treat” his family. He said: “Without them I wouldn’t be anything, so I just really want to treat them. If there’s any leftover, I wouldn’t mind another motor as well.”

After losing the game, he told the BBC: “Inshallah, one day I’ll be able to hopefully take them to Hajj or even complete Umrah. I’m looking forward to that.”

Though he lost out on the prize pot, Faraaz’s dream of taking his whole family to Mecca may not be over. Pretty Little Thing co-founder Umar Kamani has said he would pay for the trip.

In a post on X, he said: “I would love to send Faraaz from Traitors and his family to Hajj.” Umar is reportedly worth $1 billion (£797 million) as of May 2024, according to The Sun. The CEO, who is also the son of Mahmud Kamani, the co-founder of Boohoo, founded Pretty Little Thing aged 24.

Faraaz was the second to last faithful to still be in the game. He shared with Metro that he was “seething” when he was eliminated from The Traitors.

He said: “When I saw my name on Rachel’s slate, I knew I was done and I was absolutely seething – there was steam coming from my ears. You probably didn’t see it, but I was gutted.

“I was toying between the two, and I knew if I voted Rachel, that was me protecting myself. I realised that should have been the right thing to do, but I was like, ‘I know it’s Stephen!’ I was seething about that — at least for that short moment.”
