According to reports from People, the 27-year-old aspiring chef and his actress wife were spotted relaxing aboard a yacht near Nice, France. The group enjoyed a meal together around an outdoor table before stepping off the vessel for local sightseeing. During the outing, Brooklyn Beckham wore a white T-shirt, denim shorts, and a cream-colored baseball cap while holding hands with Peltz, who wore a white lace minidress paired with nude kitten heels, sunglasses, and a shoulder bag.
The Mediterranean getaway comes as David and Victoria Beckham spent time with their three other children—sons Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper—alongside Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, on the Spanish island of Formentera, as reported by The Sun. Neither Elton John nor David Furnish has ever publicly commented on the ongoing rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents.
A Summer of Notable Family Absences
Brooklyn Beckham was noticeably absent from two major family milestones over the summer. He did not attend his father David Beckham’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star induction ceremony in June, despite living nearby, and subsequently skipped his sister Harper’s 15th birthday celebration in July.
The public tensions first spilled into public view in January when Brooklyn released a scathing statement alleging that “Brand Beckham comes first” within his family dynamic. In the statement, he criticized what he viewed as a relentless focus on social media appearances and photo opportunities over personal obligations. He also claimed that his mother declined to support an initiative led by Peltz to help dogs displaced during the Los Angeles wildfires.
Furthermore, Brooklyn accused his parents of meddling in his marriage and promoting a narrative that he is controlled by his wife. “I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life,” he alleged in the January statement, adding that stepping away had alleviated lifelong anxiety and brought him peace.
Measured Public Responses From Victoria and David Beckham
While the family rift has dominated entertainment headlines, David and Victoria Beckham have largely maintained a measured public stance. In April, during a live appearance on NBC’s Today, Victoria addressed a question regarding a challenging year for her family by emphasizing their internal closeness. “Myself and David, we’re so close,” she told the hosts. “And we have incredible people around us. We’re very close to my parents and David’s parents, and we support each other through everything that we do.”
David Beckham has been even more reluctant to address the matter in public. In June, when a reporter from Variety brought up questions regarding family strife, the former soccer star shut down the line of questioning entirely. “To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter,” David insisted. “That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”
