Bruno Mars is expanding his highly anticipated “Romantic Tour” with over 30 new dates, bringing his signature performance too cities across North America, Europe, and the U.K.
“Romantic Tour” details
The “Romantic Tour” marks Bruno mars’ first full headline tour in nearly a decade and his inaugural full headlining stadium tour, encompassing almost 70 shows as reported by Variety. Newly added shows will take place in cities including Las Vegas, Arlington, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, miami, and Santa Clara. Paris and Vancouver will each host three nights, while Toronto, Amsterdam, East Rutherford, and Los Angeles will each have four stadium shows. Mars will conclude the tour with a six-night residency at Wembley Stadium in london this July.
Supporting acts and Ticket Sales
Joining Mars on tour will be Anderson .Paak as “DJ Pee Wee.” Select dates will also feature performances by Victoria Monét, Raye, and Leon Thomas. Tickets for the newly announced dates went on sale January 15th at 12 p.m. local time. Forbes reports that Mars broke Ticketmaster records, selling over 21 million tickets in a single day through Live Nation.
The Romantic Album release
The tour coincides with the upcoming release of Mars’ fourth solo album, The Romantic, scheduled for Febuary 27th. This album is his first LP as 2016’s 24K Magic according to WBLS. Mars announced the album’s completion on X (formerly Twitter) with a simple message: “My album is done.”
The lead single, “I Just Might,” was released on january 9th. Mars also addressed criticism regarding the song’s similarity to his previous work, responding directly to a fan on X who claimed he’s “been releasing the same song for the past 10 years” with a blunt retort: “And u never been s-t in yo life.”
