Certain Affinity – the American studio that previously helped develop games such as Halo Infinity – is helping Archetype Entertainment with the development of the recently announced Exodus.

The studios have announced this. Certain Affinity has been working closely with Archetype – the lead developer of Exodus – since 2022 and both companies say that the collaboration only makes the end result even stronger.

Exodus was announced last December during The Game Awards. The science fiction game has Matthew McConaughey in an important role. The actor, known for roles in films and series such as Interstellar and True Detective, even appeared on stage at The Game Awards to announce the game.

In Exodus, humanity leaves behind a dying Earth and has found a new home in a violent universe. “Here we are the underdogs, fighting for survival. You are the Traveler, humanity’s last hope. Your destiny is to lead the Travelers to the stars and steal alien weapons and technology from the most powerful enemy in this universe – the Celestials.” According to McConaughey, each player will have a different relationship with their character.

Archtype Entertainment – which is owned by Wizards of the Coast – was founded by former Bioware employees. The game will come to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S at an unknown time. The announcement trailer can be viewed again below.
