Country music star Chase Rice has announced a meaningful shift in his career, planning to step back from extensive touring after a final series of performances in 2026.
The artist shared his decision in a heartfelt Instagram post, revealing a sense of exhaustion after 13 years on the road. He emphasized this isn’t a permanent farewell to music, but rather a necessary pause for personal rejuvenation.
“Alright everybody, I wasn’t sure whether I was gonna talk about this or not but here we are,” Rice began, acknowledging the weight of the declaration. “I’ve been touring for 13 years and I’ve lived a dream far greater than I could’ve ever expected.”
Rice was swift to dispel any assumptions of a complete departure from the music industry. “This isn’t a goodbye thing or anything like that to be clear upfront, even though it may feel like that, but I’m exhausted,” he clarified.
he explained that the relentless demands of touring had begun to diminish his connection with the core reasons he pursued a musical career. The constant travel and performance schedule had, over time, impacted his ability to fully experience and enjoy the creative process.
“I haven’t been able to be myself on stage in quiet a while and really enjoy music and why I got into it in the first place,” he confessed, adding, “I love songs, I love living them, hearing stories from other people, and figuring out how to put that life into music.”
