A 44-year-old citizen was detained by the National Police, suspected of sexually abusing his own 15-year-old daughter, who ended up pregnant, in the neighborhood of Nambambi, municipality of Lubango, in Huíla.
The information was provided by the acting spokesperson of the local PN, 3rd deputy chief Marcelino Arsénio, noting that the suspect was arrested following an anonymous complaint that the teenager was a victim of sexual abuse by her own father.
According to the source, after taking steps, it was possible to contact the victim who, “desperate”, confirmed the complaint, adding that this practice has been taking place since November 2023, as a result of which it has already resulted in two pregnancies being terminated at the direction of the alleged aggressor.
He stated that the victim has already undergone a gynecological examination and it determined that she is approximately seven to ten days pregnant, supposedly the third pregnancy for the same protagonist.
On the subject, psychologist Jerby Kaculete, advocates carrying out investigative work to determine the circumstances and if proven, the accused must be held responsible for their actions.
