Developer Electric Saint has announced that Crescent County, a cozy slice-of-life motorbroom adventure, is officially scheduled to launch in the summer of 2027. The game will be available across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2, according to an update shared during the Kinetic Publishing Showcase.
The title introduces players to a young adult protagonist named Lu. Her daily routine splits between two distinct worlds: ferrying packages across the map as a courier during daylight hours and tearing up the asphalt as a street racer after dark. Rather than driving a traditional car or motorcycle, Lu travels on a motorized broomstick—a standard broom fitted with an engine at the rear.
According to the development team, Crescent County draws creative inspiration from a wide array of sources, including indie titles like Sable, Dredge, and Olli Olli World, alongside classic animation influences such as Kiki’s Delivery Service and real-world locations like the Isle of Wight. The studio aims to combine these influences into an open world designed for exploration.
Gameplay Features and Open-World Exploration
The core gameplay loop of Crescent County centers around high-speed broomstick riding and competitive racing mechanics. Beyond the transit and racing elements, the experience incorporates relationship-building systems with various non-player characters scattered throughout the environment.
Players will also have access to comprehensive vehicle customisation options to modify their motorized brooms. The open-world map is built to encourage exploration, offering distinct regional layouts where players can navigate delivery routes and test out custom upgrades.
