Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr won this Sunday’s Riyadh derby against Al Shabab, coached by Vítor Pereira, 3-2, and recorded their 6th consecutive victory in the Saudi league (the 9th in all competitions). CR7 opened the penalty spot (21′) and reached the 9th consecutive game to score, in what was his 22nd goal in the competition, which allowed the Portuguese international to reinforce his status as top scorer. AL Shabab reacted after the break and, also from a penalty, Ferreira Carrasco equalized the match. In the 2nd half, Al Nassr, coached by Luís Castro, came out strong and Talisca made it 1-2 after 47′, but the home team reacted well again and Carlos Júnior (ex-Rio Ave and Santa Clara) equalized again the derby. The game remained open and ended up falling to Al Nassr with another goal from Talisca in the 87th minute. With this triumph, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, in 2nd place, reaches 52 points and is 4 points behind leader Al Hilal by Jorge Jesus – they visit AL Ettifaq tomorrow.
