SOBOTIŠTE/PIEŠŤANY – Traffic in Slovakia is complicated by mass accidents. They are reported between Piešťany and Vrbov and Lopaš and Senica. Emergency services intervene in places and restrictions must be taken into account.

Update 17:20 – The traffic accident between Piešťany and Vrbov has already been removed. It was reported by the Green Wave of RTVS.

The Green Wave RTVS and drivers reported on the accidents on the social network. Three passenger cars collided between Lopaš and Senica. Expect delays on the section.

“On the route from Piešťany to Vrbové, after the D1 exit, four passenger cars collided, the section is reported as impassable, you can bypass it via Veľké Orvište,” writes Green Wave. According to witnesses, all rescue services are on the scene and convoys are forming there. The green wave of RTVS reports a delay of about 15 minutes.

The Trnava police confirmed the accident on the social network. The driver of one of the vehicles was supposed to have 1.5 percent of alcohol. “One of the drivers, who for unknown reasons had to pass in the opposite direction, had a positive breath test for alcohol. The exact circumstances under which the impact and damage to 3 vehicles occurred are still being checked and documented by the police,” zoomed in. Traffic is regulated by firefighters.
