Satellite images reveal evidence of damaged Iranian air base. The BBC analyzed two of them, which show that part of the air defense system at Isfahan airport was damaged. The damage happened early Friday morning. Indications show that it was a retaliatory action by Israel, but Israel does not claim the attack.

It is not yet clear who damaged the base in Isfahan. None of the actors signed up for it. Iran also does not comment on the circumstances.
However, US officials say Israel carried out the missile strike. His management has not officially confirmed this.
Iran said the attack involved drones that were neutralized by air defenses. It is not yet clear what weapons were used in the attack. Satellite images now referred to by the BBChowever, revealed traces of damage to the air base.

The BBC refers to optical and radar satellite images taken over Isfahan on Friday.
Damage and debris
These are high-resolution images, but in black and white, so it is not possible to recognize the color on the ground, which would indicate, for example, traces of burns. However, this makes it possible to display material damage to buildings or vehicles.
According to the media, Israel attacked Iran with small drones. It hit the airbase near the city of Isfahan

One such image, taken by Umbra Space on April 15, shows an S-300 air defense system located at the northwest tip of Shikari Air Base. The system consists of several vehicles equipped with radars, missile launchers and other equipment.
An image by Umbra Space taken after Friday’s strike shows damage and debris around one component — likely the radar — which has also shifted slightly. The other vehicles were moved from the scene.
This assumption is confirmed by an optical satellite image taken by Planet, which, despite the low resolution, shows a burn mark in the same location.
The damage and debris are not visible in the pictures from April 11 and 15.
The military base itself does not show any signs of material damage in the available images, but it will be possible to confirm this with certainty only after a subsequent and more thorough analysis with higher resolution images, warns the BBC.
There are no images of nuclear facilities in Isfahan yet. The UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency said there was “no damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities”.
Tensions between rival states Israel and Iran have escalated in recent weeks. An earlier suspected Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria earlier in the month was followed by Iran’s retaliatory attack on Israel on April 13. And now it seems Israel has responded.
