Tusk pointed to the situation on the oil market. And it is constantly becoming more expensive due to, among others: tensions in the Middle East. In the coming months, if there is no truce between Israel and Hamas, Brent may reach the psychological barrier of $100. per barrel.

Daniel Obajtek, former president of Orlen, decided to speak on the issue of fuel prices. “Do you buy fuel? Me too. Although I am surprised that many people also buy the narrative that the government is not responsible for gasoline prices” – this is how he began his entry on the X platform. He showed specific calculations and added: “The PiS government acted by reducing excise duty. It is not true that the prime minister cannot do anything about it.”

Obajtek: such a translation is propaganda

In an interview with the daily, he called the explanation that oil is expensive and hence the price increases at gas stations.

We hear that the barrel of oil is very high, but no one says: well, the barrel is high, but the dollar is cheap and oil is traded in dollars. In the past, when fuel prices went up, it was the fault of the bad Obajtek, the fault of PiS. And now I hear in all the media that it is macroeconomics, that these are external factors. Somehow I don’t hear that it was the fault of someone who was throwing words to the wind – said Daniel Obajtek on the “Fakt Live” program.
