Photographer Davy Linggar ‘threw away’ his pocket camera recently. The reason is because the Xiaomi 14 has a Leica touch camera.
Davy revealed that he almost always carries a pocket camera when he leaves the house. The aim is to capture various interesting things that his eyes catch.
That’s when he was presented with the Xiaomi 14. After trying out its features, Davy was stunned by the results taken by this cellphone camera.

“This pocket camera can make calls,” he said while laughing.
Apart from its compact shape making it easy to carry around, the reason Davy was attracted to the Xiaomi 14 was because of the LED Flash. When he’s out at night, he often uses a flash when taking photos with a pocket camera.

Apparently the Xiaomi 14 has an LED flash light that can be on continuously. This capability makes it easier to photograph in low light conditions.
“So I abandoned my pocket camera because of that,” said the bespectacled man when met on the sidelines of the Jakarta Gardens Art exhibition in Plataran Senayan.
When recently using the Xiaomi 14, Davy explored the Pro Mode of this cellphone more often. After exploring further, he admitted that he liked the Masters Lens Portrait System because he could choose 35, 50 and 90 lenses.
“It’s really like when I use a Leica mirrorless camera, the characteristics are almost the same. The bokeh is even more natural compared to other cellphones,” said Davy.
Face to Face
In the Art Jakarta Gardens event which will be held until April 28, Davy Linggar will also exhibit the results taken by the Xiaomi 14 camera. Taking the theme Face to Face, figures from an artistic background are displayed.
They are Andra Matin, Chitra Subyakto, Dolorosa Sinaga, FX Harsono, Indra Leonardi, Jay Subyakto, Marchella FP and Naufal Abshar. All of them are shown in black and white photos.

Interestingly, the photo is presented in a unique medium. Davy printed it on aluminum material measuring 120 x 180 cm.
“Based on experience so far, this medium is most suitable for outdoors. It is resistant to rain and hot weather,” explained Davy.
In front of each frame, Davy placed a seat. The aim is for visitors to make eye contact with the figure in the photo.
“I want to see if people can experience what I feel when I relate to these figures. Because it’s face to face,” concluded Davy.
