The Acolyte, the next Star Wars series to air on Disney+, would air on Wednesday, June 5. For the time being, there has been no confirmation from Disney itself about this release date.

It Star Warsuniverse moved to Disney+ with the series a few years ago The Mandalorian. That became an immediate success and many other spin-offs followed. Consider this, for example The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Rangers of the New Republic, Ahsoka and much more. The Acolyte will be the next series on Disney+ next summer. The Acolyte

The Acolyte was already announced by Disney in 2020. The series is by Leslye Headland, who is best known for the acclaimed series Russian Doll and as director of the films Bachelorette and Sleeping With Other People. According to Variety even describes them The Acolyte as “a cross between Frozen in Kill Bill from the bad guys’ perspective.” She cites samurai films as a source of inspiration.

Star Wars: The Acolyte Set in the High Republic era of the Star Warsuniverse, set 100 years before the franchise’s prequel trilogy. That’s the furthest back in time that one of the many series in the franchise has ever gone. That period is known as the height of the Galactic Empire and the Golden Age of the Jedi. The Acolyte will be about the rise of the Sith, a group of Dark Jedi bent on conquering the galaxy.
