Emergency responders conducted an underwater rescue operation in the Hudson River off Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood late Saturday evening after a person was discovered in the water. New York City Police and Fire Department units were dispatched to the vicinity of the West Side Highway and West 52nd Street shortly after 9:00 p.m. to initiate the recovery effort.
First responders, including specialized dive teams, arrived at the scene near Sunset Pier 94 to locate the individual. Following the recovery, the patient was transported by emergency medical services to Bellevue Hospital for urgent treatment.
