The Storting in Norway has been closed due to a bomb threat, Norwegian police tell the newspaper Dagbladet. The building has been evacuated and heavily armed police are on site to investigate the incident.

– It is about a bomb threat aimed at the Storting. The police are on site to ensure security at the Storting and work in parallel to investigate the content of the threat, says Gabriel Langfeldt, head of the police in Oslo to VG.

– We are on site with several patrols to prevent any incidents. At this time, we have no further information to give about the threat level.

According to the task leader Svend Bjelland, a threat was discovered last night, but it was considered not dangerous.

– It was not considered real, then a new threat has arrived. We do not know if there is a connection between these threats, he says according to VG.

The security police in Norway, PST, are involved.

It is currently unclear who or who are behind the threats. No one should have been injured.
