Daniel Stasys is rapidly becoming a force to be reckoned with for the benet Redwings. Currently, he’s averaging an impressive 12.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, all while shooting a remarkable 63% from the field.
“He’s realy been a big part of our team,” says benet coach Gene Heidkamp.”He has the ability to run and score in transition, and he’s a threat scoring around the basket.”

Senior guard Jayden Wright, committed to Eastern Illinois, has witnessed Stasys’s progress firsthand. He emphasizes the significant strides Stasys has made in all facets of his game.
“He’s getting better in every single aspect on the basketball court,” Wright noted. “He’s more confident, and his energy is contagious.”

According to teammate MacDermot, “He definitely got more athletic and stronger, which has helped him be stronger in the paint.” This increased strength and athleticism have translated into a more dominant presence inside.

stasys forms a formidable frontcourt pairing with 7-1 senior center Colin stack,a North Dakota State recruit. Their complementary skillsets create significant challenges for opposing defenses.
Stasys explains their effective synergy: “Normally, they’ve got to take the 5 man over to Colin, so then I’ve got a mismatch. So we can work with the high-low action.” This high-low dynamic allows them to exploit defensive weaknesses and create easy scoring opportunities.

Stasys understands that success at the next level requires a well-rounded game. He’s actively working to expand his skillset, particularly on the perimeter, while continuing to refine his strengths.
“Being able to play on both sides of the floor is huge,” Stasys stated. “Right now, rebounding, defensively, and getting to the rim are definitely the strongest aspects of my game.I’m trying to develop my game on the perimeter, so just expanding my game.”
