Executive wants to limit alcohol consumption in institutional environments –

This Monday, 22nd, during the 4th ordinary session of the Council of Ministers, chaired by João Lourenço, at the Presidential Palace, in Luanda, the Executive considered a Bill, destined for the National Assembly, which aims to mitigate the adverse effects of consumption of alcohol in professional and educational contexts.

The objective is to establish a Special Regime for the availability and consumption of alcoholic beverages within institutions such as hospitals, military institutions, police and schools. This measure aims to curb excessive alcohol consumption, which “not only harms health, but also negatively affects professional performance and interferes with the learning process, as well as the intellectual capacity of individuals”, informs the government website.

Furthermore, during the same session, the Council of Ministers approved a regulation related to street trading activities, fairs and market stalls.

This document establishes guidelines for the operation of these spaces, the procedures for obtaining and renewing the necessary cards for street vendors, market vendors and market stall owners. It also provides for the integration of this information into the electronic commercial licensing platform (SILAC), connected to the Municipal Portal.
