ŽILINA, MOLDVA NAD BODVOU – Today, the railways report the second dead person. Shortly after midnight, a tragic accident occurred on the railway line between Žilina and Čadca, where a person was hit by a train. In the morning again, near Moldava nad Bodvou, they found a dead person in the railway tracks

Due to the tragedy on the section near Moldava nad Bodvou, train traffic is currently limited. As reported by ZSSK, the reason is “a dead person found in the railway tracks”. Train R 911 ( Zvolen os. st. 5.25 h – Košice 8.44 h ) is expected to arrive at Moldava nad Bodvou station about 100 minutes late. And train R 912 (Košice 07:22-Zvolen os. wed. 10:32) is about 100 minutes late from the station.

The second tragedy happened at night. According to preliminary information that for zilinak.sk provided by the Regional Operations Center of the Fire and Rescue Service in Žilina, a freight train should have hit a person on the track. The accident occurred less than 15 minutes after midnight in the cadastre of the village of Krásno nad Kysucou (Čadca district). Four firefighters from Čadka, the rescue service and the police were immediately dispatched to the scene.
