In the Super League match held in Trabzon, where tension was high, the examples of sportsmanship shown by two players from Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor teams caused both clubs to make mutual “fair play” gestures.
Trabzonspor nominated Fenerbahçe’s player Serdar Dursun, who attracted attention with his fair play behavior during the eventful match, to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Fair Play and Social Responsibility Board for the “March fair play award”.
In response, Fenerbahçe Club responded to supporting the spirit of fair play by nominating Trabzonspor’s claret-blue player Eren Elmalı for the same award.
Ali Erten, Chairman of the TFF Fair Play and Social Responsibility Board, stated that the candidacies of the two teams were conveyed to the board and the decision will be announced as soon as possible.
