A citizen is being accused of having killed his own son, in the province of Bié, for missing classes and allegedly stealing 100 kwanzas.
The 10-year-old boy did not resist a blow given by the accused, in the stomach area, who beat him for missing classes, causing the minor’s death.
The case, which is included in INAC’s balance sheet, from the 21st to 27th of January 2024, through the SOS – Child Reporting Service, is one of a total of 397 reports of violence against children across the country, which occurred in provinces of Benguela, Bié, Cuanza Sul, Huambo, Luanda, Namibe and Zaire.
In the province of Bié alone, INAC received a total of 43 complaints, with emphasis on two, which occurred in the municipality of Cuito, one of homicide, in which a 10-year-old male child was the victim.
According to INAC spokesperson, Rosalina Domingos, this case is already being monitored by the Criminal Investigation Service and has been forwarded to the INAC Provincial Service.
