Accused of squandering public funds and embezzlement, these individuals, as well as six other alleged accomplices, face legal proceedings. The Moroccan Organization for the Protection of Public Funds (OMPDP) recently joined the case by becoming a civil party and requesting the extension of the prosecution to employees of the company.

Its president, Mohammed Soukrat, also requested on April 9 the prosecution of employees of the company SOREAD-2M, as well as production companies and other partners concerned by the “dubious” markets and contracts cited by the Court of Auditors in its annual inspection reports since 2007.

These parties were not prosecuted and were not affected by the investigations” carried out by the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ), affirmed Mohammed Soukrat, who recently indicated that he had new evidence, emphasizing the need for criminal proceedings against the accused.

In this regard, he mentioned a report from the Court of Auditors, revealing that Mustapha Benali would have incurred personal expenses amounting to nearly 940,000 dirhams between 2003 and 2008, as well as unjustified travel expenses reaching nearly 18 million dirhams. , in addition to a certain number of purchases of programs which were never broadcast and for which nearly 9 million dirhams were paid, according to recent allegations.

At the same time, the OMPDP demanded strict measures against the accused, including bans on leaving the territory and the freezing of their assets. The organization also pointed the finger at the channel’s advertising agency, Régie 3, which would be at the heart of the dysfunctions mentioned in the Court of Auditors’ reports.
