“Salud en tu barrio” Program Brings Healthcare to Four City Locations
From January 19th to 23rd, the “Salud en tu barrio” (Health in Your Neighborhood) program will deploy healthcare services to four locations within the city, offering a range of preventative and primary care services to residents. The program aims to increase access to healthcare for all citizens.
CAPS La peregrina (Ruta 226 kilómetro 17)
The first device will operate at CAPS La Peregrina, located on Route 226 kilometer 17, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, January 19th-23rd. Services offered include:
- Vaccinations: Routine immunizations, flu shots, and COVID-19 vaccines.
- STI Testing: HIV and Syphilis testing.
- Specialty Referrals: Assistance with scheduling appointments for specialists at local health centers.
- Dengue Awareness: Educational talks on dengue prevention.
- Dental Checkups: Available Monday and Tuesday.
- Pediatric dentistry Workshops: Workshops focused on oral health for children, including checkups, will be held Thursday and Friday.
- Animal Castrations: available daily from 8:00 AM (one animal per person).
