In a week’s time Joost Klein will be at the Eurovision Song Contest. However, he is not the only Frisian at the largest music competition in the world. A company from St. Annaparochie supplies LED screens for the show.

“We supply materials to a sister company,” explains Jeroen Jongenelen of Faber Audiovisuals. “It involves LED panels, but also a piece of LED floor. It is actually a glass floor with a video screen.”

It is not the first time that the company has been involved in the Eurovision Song Contest, the company has already participated eight times in total. When the festival was in Rotterdam in 2021, Faber had a major role.

“We then supplied all the LED facilities,” says Jongenelen. “So all the projections of the participants and the screens around the room. We also arranged the control with so-called media servers.”

These media servers are a kind of powerful computers that control and display audiovisual effects.
