The toll for using the network of motorways and national roads – or the toll as it is also known – will be changed from 11 March. More precisely, new validity periods and new prices will appear, and the Road Company also announces some restrictions regarding the procurement of new road signs until the IT system is adapted to the new features.

The ruin changes – New prices and validity periods appear: one day, 10 days and 2 months

The biggest change that drivers will notice is the introduction of the one-day limit. For 24 hours, a car driver will pay the equivalent of 2.5 euros, compared to the 3 euros he used to pay for a one-week trip.

The 10-day one, which will cost the equivalent of 3.3 euros, will be introduced instead of the one-week old one.

Another change is the renouncing of the 3-month (90-day) voucher and the introduction of the 2-month (60-day) voucher for the equivalent of 8.4 euros.

Currently, in Romania we can buy tickets for a week, a month, 3 months or a year. After March 11, the duration of the ruin will be one day, 10 days, one month, 2 months or one year. For the one-year pass, the rates will not be changed.

Rovinieta for one year will still remain 28 euros for cars, 96 euros for goods vehicles under 3.5 tons and 320 euros for transport vehicles with 9-23 seats.

The most expensive toll is 1,210 euros for goods transport vehicles with a mass greater than 12 tons.

Restrictions on the purchase of the scrap on March 11

CNAIR announces that the issuing of the certificate is temporarily suspended in order to update the information on its validity periods! Thus, starting from 11.03.2024, at 00:00, for a period of approximately 3 hours, the issuing of vouchers at the distribution points and through web portals/applications will not be possible.

• “CNAIR informs the users of the national roads and highways network, that starting from 11.03.2024, 00:00, for a period of approximately 3 hours, the issuance of the tickets at the distribution points, through the web portals/applications developed for the systems operation of mobile phones and cash/electronic payment processing devices (terminals) will not be possible”, states the company.

This is necessary to update the information regarding the validity periods of the tickets and the level of tariffs for them in the IT System for Issuing, Management, Monitoring and Control of the Tickets – SIEGMCR, as a result of the entry into force of the provisions of Ordinance no. 14/2024 for the amendment and completion of GEO no. 15/2002 regarding the application of the user tariff and the toll on the national road network in Romania.

At the same time, CNAIR informs the users of the network of national roads and highways, that from 11.03.2024 the issuance of the vignette through the short message service (SMS) will be suspended until 21.03.2024, as a result of the changes that must be made at the level the emission flow by the application developer.

In order to avoid the application of contraventional sanctions, users of the national road network have the opportunity to pay in advance the toll ticket valid for 11.03.2024, the company also states.
