Silbö Telecom started its journey less than two years ago and OMV “con tarifas Smart Cost“as they themselves said. A few weeks later, they already boasted of being the second operator in positive net portability and They became the main sponsor of the Spanish National Team soccer.
Last June, it announced an agreement with Vodafone Spain and, since then, we have not heard from him again. They no longer appear on the National Team’s shirts, they have not published anything on social networks for months and, to make matters worse, their website has the majority of inactive links. What happened to Silbö?
A short but intense story
After being founded the previous year, Silbö Telecom officially launches in March 2024 with the promise of redefining telecommunications through affordable premium services. With Jorge Morán (former director of Finetwork) as CEO and headquarters in Madrid, Silbö Telecom arrives in the Spanish market as an MVNO with rates of mobile, landline and fiber under Movistar coverage through an agreement with Aire Networks.
Also bet on the physical storesSpecifically, it estimates opening 50 establishments in the next three months, closing the year with a hundred and ending 2025 with 225 of its own stores. Likewise, it has an offer for companies with fixed IP and switchboard, among other services.
Just two weeks later, reveals its television offer with “trick”. It is not its own platform, it is Tivify in Plus or Premium mode from 5 euros per month. This television proposal is added to the additional services with which Silbö intends to convince individuals, among which there are eSIM and Multisim, among others, but not 5G.
Silbö’s intention is to end 2024 with more than 320,000 active services for reach 1.2 million in the next four years. The month of April closes with a positive gain of 10,982 ports, according to data from the ports node.
It is the best figure for April, only behind Digi. That same month, it launched a division for the wholesale market (OpeFreë) with complete solutions for local operators.

To make itself known, Silbö chooses Marco as its communication agency and starts in May an intense sponsorship strategy with the Royal Spanish Rugby Federation as the first partner. It closes May with a positive gain of 15,049 new customers and is once again the MVNO with the best net portability data, according to the AOPM (Association of Operators for Mobile Portability).
Coinciding with the improvement of its mobile rates, Silbö becomes socio main sponsor of the Spanish National Team men’s and women’s soccer. The move turns out well for them, as La Roja is proclaimed champion of Euro 2024 in July with Silbö present in the training kit, anthem jacket, press areas, official merchandising, events, etc.
This agreement also covers the Under 21, the Copa del Rey, the Copa de la Reina and the Women’s Super Cup, and extended until 2028, but the RFEF and Silbö decide to terminate it after a few months. Its place is now occupied by the EBRO car brand, which has paid the RFEF much more money.
In September, the OMV launches new rates with two and three unlimited mobile lines which is promoted through an advertising campaign generated entirely by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The year 2024 closes with a meeting with journalists in which Jorge Morán, CEO of Silbö, announces and according to MasOrangewhich adds to those achieved with Onivia, Adamo and Telefónica.
It also confirms the conversion to a full OMV in 2025, something that was made official six months later, in June, with another wholesale agreement, this time with Vodafone Spain. This agreement also contemplated the inclusion of the Vodafone and Lowi brands in Silbö’s traditional distribution channel.
A practically dead OMV
After that agreement with Vodafone, we have not heard from the operator in recent months. And it’s been seven months now. In fact, the web de Silbö currently offers a single annual sliding fee with unlimited data for 79 euros per year (about 6.60 euros per month).
Most links they are inactiveincluding the one that led us to the rest of the rates, the offer for companies or the blog. On their social networks (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook e Instagram), they also haven’t published anything for months.

If you call 1610 (we have done it), they do give you the possibility of contracting mobile rates with 40, 80, 150 or unlimited GB. Or combined with 300 or 1000 Mbps fiber from 29 euros per month.
They assure that it is Movistar coverage, they have their own router and include television MasMediaTV. That tells us that the agreement with Tivify is overas also ended the one they signed with MasOrange and the one they had with the Marco communication agency.

We know that last November, OpeFreë by Silbö participated in AOTEC 2025where Jorge Morán assured which had exceeded 160,000 mobile services. But the truth is that the last months of 2025 have been marked by customer complaints on social mediawhether it’s for improper charges, due to failures in customer service o due to service incidents.
From Xataka Móvil, we have tried to contact different people who worked at Silbö and we have not received a response. Sector sources, however, have confirmed that Silbö Telecom has problems due to non-payments with several suppliers. All this, added to the aforementioned customer complaints and the operator’s inactivity, predicts a bad future for Silbö. If this OMV has any future.
