If you want to build a gaming PC today, you need the necessary change. The cost of a gaming PC can vary greatly. Depending on the performance, components and individual requirements, several hundred francs can quickly add up.

Gaming PCs for beginners are usually available from around 500 to 800 francs. However, these are only partially suitable for playing current games in high resolution. Mid-range models that offer better performance for current games are often between 800 and 1,500 francs.

But a father didn’t know all this and posted his question on Reddit, which attracted a lot of attention: “My son wants a gaming PC, is $400 enough?”

The father received over 2,700 comments on this question. Some funny, but also serious advice. One user is even generous enough to give his father a “GeForce RTX 3080”.

But after the father writes as a second “update”: “I found an Intel I-5 12600KF for the CPU for $150, is that a good deal?”, which makes some users angry. Another user writes: “Check his post history, he’s not an adult.”

Whether a child or an adult, the range is so enormous that the person at least has a graphics card.
