Halo Infinite Enters Maintenance Mode as Developer Shifts Focus to New Halo Projects
(November 8, 2023) – Microsoft and halo Studios have announced a significant shift in strategy for teh Halo franchise. Halo Infinite will be entering a maintenance mode following the release of “Operation: Infinite” on November 18th, allowing the growth team to concentrate its efforts on building multiple new Halo experiences.
this doesn’t mean the end for Halo Infinite. Halo Studios assures players that the game will continue to receive support through challenges, ranked rewards, and community events well into the future. Importantly, the free 100-tier Operation Pass and the Premium Pass included in “Operation: Infinite” will not have an expiration date, ensuring continued engagement for existing players.
What’s Next for Halo?
The move signals a renewed focus on the future of the halo universe. Halo Studios is already actively developing several new Halo titles, including Halo: Campaign Evolved, slated for release on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 in 2026. While details on the other projects remain under wraps
