Witold Literacki was elected acting president of the management board of Orlen. The decision on this matter was made by the company’s supervisory board.

As reported by Orlen’s press office in the evening, the Minister of State Assets appointed Witold Literacki to the company’s management board as of February 6, 2024. The announcement also said that the supervisory board appointed him as acting president of the management board of Orlen during today’s meeting.
It was reported that at the same meeting, Kazimierz Mordaszewski, Tomasz Sójka and Tomasz Zieliński were delegated from the current composition of the supervisory board to the Orlen management board – for a period not longer than 3 months, until the appointment of management board members. Ultimately, the new management board of Orlen is to be selected through a competition.
The press office announced that the detailed conditions for candidates for the president, vice-presidents and members of the management board will be published by the supervisory board on the orlen.pl website on February 14, 2024.

From Wednesday, February 7, the Orlen management board will consist of:
Witold Literacki – acting president;
- Kazimierz Mordaszewski – member of the supervisory board delegated to temporarily perform the duties of a member of the management board;
- Tomasz Sójka – member of the supervisory board delegated to temporarily perform the duties of a management board member;
- Józef Węgrecki – member of the management board;
- Tomasz Zieliński – member of the supervisory board delegated to temporarily perform the duties of a member of the management board.
Earlier, Orlen’s supervisory board dismissed Adam Burak, Krzysztof Nowicki, Robert Perkowski, Piotr Sabat and Iwona Waksmundzka-Olejniczak from the management board.
As reported by Orlen’s press office, “Witold Literacki is a graduate of the University of Silesia, Faculty of Social Sciences, in 1994, and an MBA from the Lublin Business School in cooperation with the University of Central Lancashire in Great Britain in 2006.”
“An expert in the field of finance and taxes. He has been professionally associated with the fuel and energy industry for many years. He gained managerial experience in both foreign and Polish companies, including PKN Orlen,” the company announced.
Orlen reported that Literacki served as financial director at PERN SA in 2022-2023. Previously, in the years 2020-2022, he was employed as financial director at Warszawskie Zakłady Mechaniczne PZL-WZM. In the years 2008-2020, he was the director of the tax office at PKN Orlen.
