Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki praised the role of UNICEF in Egypt and its efforts to support the services provided by the health care sector in Egypt, praising the organization’s fruitful cooperation with the Health Care Authority during the last period in programs targeting maternal and child health and nutrition and awareness programs for them in the governorates of implementing the system. To develop specialized work guides in this field in accordance with the latest international standards to contribute to implementing best practices and providing optimal care for maternal and child health, especially with the expansion of the implementation of comprehensive health insurance in the second governorates of “Damietta, Matrouh, Kafr El-Sheikh, Minya, and North Sinai” during the coming period.

The meeting discussed cooperation to train and build the capabilities of health personnel in health facilities under the Decent Life Initiative and the governorates of the second phase of implementing the comprehensive health insurance system, noting that the second phase of implementing the system will benefit 12 million citizens in the five aforementioned governorates. He also indicated that health projects The Decent Life Initiative, which aims to develop many health facilities in accordance with the standards of health facilities in the comprehensive health insurance system, accelerates the pace of implementing the system and its extension to all governorates of the Republic.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with international organizations to enhance access to sustainable health development and achieve the goals of Egypt’s 2030 strategy. He also stressed the keenness of the General Authority for Health Care to conclude a strategic partnership with UNICEF Egypt and cooperate to keep pace with the latest developments, stressing further cooperation during the coming period between sides.
