The elimination phases of the inter-high school basketball tournament, also known as “All Step”, organized by the Analamanga basketball league, bringing together nine high schools for boys and five for girls, will end this week. For Saturday’s matches for girls, players from the private Sainte Famille Mahamasina high school, who played on their home field, crushed the girls from Akamasoa high school in Andralanitra with a score of 62-10 (11-0, 13-1 , 16-7, 22-2).

During the first quarter, the Andralanitra players did not score anything and the two teams parted with a score of 11-0. In the second quarter, the ordeal of the Akamasoa high school girls continued. Technically poor and small in size compared to their opponents, they only suffered the assaults led by the basketball players of the Holy Family. The score at the break was 24-1.

The third quarter and the fourth quarter were a show of strength from the Mahamasina players, who closed the match with a score of 62-10. After the match, Hery Andriatsima, president of the Analamanga basketball league, gave his opinion: “Among the girls, the level was very disparate. This is why we encourage each high school to give priority to girls to play sports, basketball in particular. It is from a basketball tournament like the one we are currently organizing that new talents emerge,” he concludes.
