Never before seen in the world of urban dance in Madagascar. Thierry Zl and Jack’Dad face off in a hip-hop dance battle that promises to be memorable. Organized by the Streetkilla association, this exceptional event will take place on April 28 at La FabriK Andraharo from 1 p.m.
The event which will feature two talented dancers in the world of Hip Hop in Madagascar, is a true Main Event in the world of local hip-hop. “We have chosen a battle between Thierry Zl and Jack’Dad this Sunday, because they are considered the two great figures of urban dance in Madagascar and it will be the first time that they will face each other on stage. The two have different styles but always in the world of hip-hop. » explains Dimby Nambinintsoa, member of the Streetkilla association.
In addition to the epic duel between Thierry Zl and Jack’Dad, the event will also include an urban dance competition in a 1 against 1 Breaking battle. The dancers will undergo pre-selections where only the best eight will remain in the running for the quarter-finals, and only two will make it to the final.
In addition, a Battle 7 To Smoke will pit eight duos against each other for 40 minutes. Finally, a show with Dancehall Tanà will complete this program rich in performances and high-level competitions. “Our goal is to highlight dancers and the culture of urban dance in Madagascar. I have been a hip-hop dancer since I was a child and grew up there. I noticed that we have a lot of talented young people in hip-hop who deserve to be showcased by no longer just being dancers, but working in this world for their future. This is what I noticed in our Streetkilla association,” explains Dimby Nambinintsoa.
Dancers from different regions, in addition to Tananarivians, will participate in the urban dance competitions, but the number remains confidential for the organizers. The hot show will last 5 hours non-stop.
