If you don’t share your home with anyone, and you don’t fear thieves, maybe you’re a little tired of having to enter a password to turn on your PC.

If you really don’t want to delete your password on Windows (for obvious security reasons, but also because you will have a lot of trouble reconnecting afterwards), it is however possible not to have to enter your password. password at each startup (or rather, after each sleep mode). To do this, the method is the same on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Be careful, however: it is almost no longer possible to completely get rid of the password. You will therefore always have to re-enter it after having truly turned off your computer, but at least you will no longer have to do so after having put the computer to sleep, after having closed your Laptop while it was still on, or after having left your computer goes to sleep on its own after a long period of inactivity…

Go to your computer settings, then to the “Account” tab. Scroll down a little to go to “Connection Options”. Once done, you should find the “Request reconnection after your absence” option. Select the “Never” option and enter your password.
