Among the places that are a magnet for pilgrims to visit at the Nabawi Mosque is Raudhah. This place is between the sermon pulpit and the Prophet’s grave at the front of the mosque. This place is a mustajabah place to pray.

If in the pre-Covid-19 period, pilgrims scrambled to enter Raudhah, now the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has arranged using registration online through an application called Nusuk. Every congregation who enters must have one tasreh (letter of permission) in the form of barcode, both individually and in groups.

On Saturday (4/5/2024), NOT Online have the opportunity to take part in the Raudhah entry process in groups with 100 people. The group’s companion, Yazid said that tasreh in groups followed by 100 people registered by the institution.

“At one time, everyone on the list must enter at the same time. If not, then the group members who are left behind will not be able to catch up,” he said.

On that day, the entry schedule obtained is at 14:00 Makkah time. After the Dhuhur prayer, the group prepares to go through the new mechanism to enter Raudhah.

The group first entered spot special queue at gate number 360. Congregants from various countries also lined up, making the queue restricted by a rope and supervised by officers.

Initially, the officers who handled this process were soldiers or police at the Grand Mosque. However, currently it has been handled by mosque employees who regulate the flow of worshipers entering.

“Everything is checked and counted one by one to bescan barcode-to avoid counterfeiting tasreh,” he said while telling that there were sales and counterfeiting tasreh by irresponsible people.

After that, the group entered in a row spot Wait in the mosque foyer while sitting next to doors 40 and Babun Nisa, the main access to enter Raudhah. After waiting for about 10 minutes, while performing sunnah prayers, dhikr, and reading the Koran, the group finally entered Raudhah.

“In Raudhah, the congregation is only given around 15 minutes. But if you are lucky during the congregational prayer time, you can take longer while joining the congregational prayer in Raudhah,” said Yazid.

In Raudhah, around 400 people gathered to perform sunnah prayers and dhikr. Many congregants also immortalized this rare moment by taking photos and videos. After the time was up, the soldiers gave the order to leave through the right side door.

After leaving, many pilgrims continued their worship activities by turning into the hallway to make a pilgrimage to the grave of the Prophet Muhammad. They have to go through the partitions that lead them to the main door for the pilgrimage, namely the Babussalam door.
